Bright & beautiful despite the freezing weather in this stunning Anthea Crawford x Van Gogh Museum collaboration silk dress featuring the Dutch master's 1890 masterwork "Almond Blossoms." I've styled it up for an event in my beloved River City with a pair of black matte leather heeled booties from Wittner for a modicum of height, a black vinyl 90s style shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials including face mask and hand sanitizer, a gorgeous green jade beaded bracelet from Wanfu Jade & matching jade bangle from a stall at the Shanghai Markets that my younger brother brought back from a trip to China a few years ago to complete the look.

Van Gogh in the Springtime

Loving the fact that this cooler springtime - despite the rain event situation - has given me the opportunity to wear more of my wardrobe for much, much longer, including this utterly divine dress that was part of the recent collaboration between celebrated Australian designer Anthea Crawford & the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The design is inspired by  1889's "Wild Roses" & is printed on a soft, stretch jersey with thicker lining to glide over the silhouette & I've cinched it in with a woven belt with wooden buckle from my local TK Maxx store. In addition, I've added a pair of tan suede pointy-toed mules from Wittner, a natural woven straw bucket bag from Sportsgirl to carry all the essentials (it might not look like it, but that thing is truly the TARDIS of handbags) & a beaded jade bracelet from Wanfu Jade that my brother brought back a few years ago from a trip to China as a surprise.

Lately...

All dressed up & ready to head into the River City wearing a gorgeous maxi dress from Anthea Crawford's stunning collaboration with The Van Gogh Museum comprising of a black lace bodice with three-quarter-length sleeves & pleated waistline & "Butterflies & Poppies" (1889) printed silk maxi skirt, styled up with a funky upycled & handpainted kimono (gifted to me by a dear friend), a pair of black matte leather ankle boots from Wittner, 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz, a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials & a pair of chunky, boho silver & semi-precious stone rings from Tree of Life to complete the look.

Afternoons in the park with these awesome foam gliders from Kmart. Honestly, I wholeheartedly recommend them - so much fun for under $10, which is practically unheard of these days.

Heading out in this beautiful floral twill midi dress from Anthea Crawford, black mesh cardigan with three-quarter-sleeves & tie waist from (now defunct boutique) Leaf, black matte leather ankle boots from Wittner & a black leather & natural woven straw handbag from Witchery to complete the look.

Rugged up for an event in the River City wearing this sublime soft floral jacquard mini smock dress with puff sleeves & tie neckline from whimsical British label Sister Jane, a black jersey skivvy from Miss Shop at Myer, black matte leather ankle boots from Wittner for height, 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs & knees (!) warm, a blush pink velvet knot bag from Shein to carry all the essentials (it's surprisingly roomy... the TARDIS of bags, if you will...) & a funky, resin brooch in the shape of an art deco orex from Erstwilder to complete the look.

Another day, another utterly divine little number from the Anthea Crawford x Van Gogh Museum collaboration - this time "Vase with Chinese Asters & Gladioli" (1886) printed onto a pleated mesh midi dress with long sleeves & styled up with a cropped black leather jacket from Just Jeans, black matte leather ankle boots from Wittner, 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz & a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan.
