Finally sharing all the gorgeous pictures of this darling brown & blush pink polka dotted cotton poplin midi dress with shirred bodice from my local Portmans store, worn with a pink satin bow clip from Lovisa for that added touch of flair for a morning spent browsing around the boutiques at the "top of town" in historical Ipswich. I've styled it up with a pair of blush & metallic leather chunky heels from Django & Juliette that I picked up for under $50 in the recent Styletread sale, a musk pink woven paper slouch bag from Cotton On to carry all the essentials & my usual silver accessories - a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles, a single vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles (formerly of Coolangatta, now Tweed Heads) & a brushed silver cuff from Wallace Bishop - for that touch of daytime shine.

Memorialise

 

A misty morning spent in town, taking some pictures at the beautiful, sacred war memorial in Baines Park, Limestone Street, Ipswich. In the summertime, this area is awash with bright red blooms from the trees but during the winter, it hits a more solemn note. What I love about our town/city is the way that we take such care with the memories of those who lost their lives in service of our country & who gave their lives fighting for our freedom in many conflicts around the world. This specific memorial - originally located at the intersection of Burnett & Brisbane Streets before being moved to its current location in 1967 - loving honours "Our Boys" who lost their lives fighting "For King & Country" in the Great War 1914-1919.
