Finally sharing all the pictures of an outfit worn to celebrate a very special milestone birthday for a dear family friend! For a certain Moonhorse's 50th birthday, I styled up the utterly divine blue floral textured jacquard "Avery" midi dress from celebrated Australian designer Anthea Crawford with a pair of gold lurex deco-inspired heels from Carvela by Kurt Geiger, a thin gold stretch belt from Sacha Drake to cinch in the waistline even further, a chunky gold & navy enamel "fashion sketch" bangle from Megan Hess that my parents gave me as a Christmas present a few years ago & a trio of sparkly gold, silver & diamantes from India on the other for that final flourish.

Another day, another styling of this gorgeous pantsuit/matching set in an ivory & khaki green printed satin from Preview by Target. This time, I've styled it with a black jersey cropped cardigan with chiffon ruffled hemline from Metalicus that I picked up at Vinnies Rosewood for only $5 (a massive, massive bargain!), a pair of navy patent leather loafers with fringing from a label called Paul Green that I purchased at the Peter Sheppard Footwear sale a few years ago for only $99, a navy vinyl & tweed shoulder bag with gold equestrian hardware from Adorne via the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique at the "top of town" in Ipswich to carry the essentials & finally, a funky navy velvet bow hairclip from Dangerfield that I wore clipped to my cardigan for a little extra flair to complete the look.

Finally sharing all the pictures of this gorgeous look, taken at the Soldiers' Memorial Hall and adjoining park after an event in my historic hometown. I'm wearing a stunning floral print cotton/linen blend midi dress with sweet puff sleeves & empire-wastline from my local Portmans store, styled up with a pair of blue leather bow sandals from a label called Isabella that I picked up at Tides Boutique in Burleigh Heads a few summertimes ago, a natural woven straw bucket bag with large-scale diamantes from Oh Jo Jo Boutique at the "top of town" in Ipswich to carry all the essentials & a plethora of sparkly gold, silver & blue bangles that a dear friend brought back from a trip to India years ago to complete the look while adding that daytime sparkle.

Keeping it simple & ever-so-slightly retro in these gorgeous pictures, taken at a local park that really is like stepping into another world, a peaceful rural idyll in the middle of a busy cityscape. I'm posing under the gum trees wearing a gorgeous black & blue floral cotton 50s fit-to-flare midi dress from Retrospec'd, blue woven silk cropped cardigan from Kitten D'Amour to ward off the slight chill in the air & a pair of black matte & patent leather loafers from Pitillos that I picked up in a recent sale at Obsession Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich for the perfect fusion of comfort & style.
