Finally posting some pictures from the South East Queensland "weather event" of a week or two ago. As "Murphy's Law" would have it, I had to head out during the deluge, so decided to dress in a conglomeration of radiant colours & sumptuous textures to brighten up what was otherwise a dark & rather soggy evening.

This soft, silk/crepe Anthea Crawford dress - in a vivid shade of orange - was the perfect first "block" layer to the ensemble, particularly when matched with a draped poly-blend kimono (picked up in the recent Sportgirl sale) covered in mirror-print Monarch butterflies & lime green tribal accents. Check out the print, as well as the kimono's amazing triple paneled draping, below:

Once again, black suede wedges were used to "anchor" the eclectic look - this particular pair from my local Big W store - mixed with black Leona Edmiston Legs fishnet tights for texture & a striking patent handbag in the exact shade of green found in the busy kimono pattern. As Hannibal was fond of saying on the A Team, "I love it when a plan comes together!" Sure, this one was inadvertent, but I will celebrate anyway... it's the little victories that make up life, after all...

Eschewing my usual jumble of jewellery pieces, the finishing touch to the ensemble was a black cotton turban from Witchery atop my classic black bob, shown in detail below:
