There's nothing quite like the "Top of Town" in Ipswich at Christmas time, particularly on a surprisingly quiet & relatively cool morning when there's time to check out the historical facades, verdant roadside gardens & larger-than-life Christmas tree in D'Arcy Doyle Place before heading over for a lazy coffee break with a friend & a leisurely browse around the eclectic boutiques that this recently gentrified area has to offer.

For the occasion, I donned a stunning white guipure lace fit-to-flare midi dress with sweetheart neckline, camisole straps & flesh-tone mesh lining from City Chic, a pair of art-deco-inspired white & tan leather sandals from Easy Steps that I discovered at my local Myer department store & a natural woven paper crossbody bag with blue circle detailing & tan leather strap from the delightful Esteems Boutique in Coolangatta to carry all the essentials including my ever-present facemask & hand sanitizer. When it came to accessories, I decided to go "all out" for daytime with a silver, shell & bead necklace that was handmade by my mother's cousin, a chunky shell bangle from Thousand Island Dressing in Paddington for those summertime vibes & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that some dear friends gave me earlier in the year to complete the look.
