So elated to finally be sharing all of the pictures from our Penny Family Christmas Day celebration! Amid the hustle & bustle of the rest of the season, ours is a relatively quiet & leisurely day spent primarily in the arms of family, opening presents from under the Christmas Tree (beautiful lights courtesy of the best things I purchased all season - cascading tree lights emenating from a ring at the very top, thank you Bunnings Warehouse), enjoying a delicious roast meal together & playing board games before lighting the menorah to celebrate Hannukah (which happens to fall on the same day this year), pray for the release of the hostages & finally, watch festive movies late into the night with a cup of tea & a selection of sugared butter shortbread biscuits...

For the occasion, I wore this gorgeous blue & white camel safari print ramie tiered maxi dress (white lace straps added by me) from Sheike, styled up with a pair of silver & gold metallic leather t-bar flat sandals from Carvela by Kurt Geiger for that touch of daytime shine & the same vintage late 1950s/early 1960s silver plated jewellery set (choker necklace & bracelet) as the night before for a cool & stylish yet comfortable look for the humid weather we've been experiencing here in South East Queensland lately.
