Finally posting all the pictures of the outfit I styled up for my first official Christmas Party of 2015! The theme was "Let Us Bring Him Silver & Gold," coincidentally a line from my favourite carol of all time, Do You Hear What I Hear? (I used to sing the Disney cassette tape version, complete with Donald Duck & Mickey Mouse voices over & over again when I was little) & this amazing peach silk dress with gold embroidered floral guipure lace overlay from Anthea Crawford simply seemed a perfect fit, adding a little of my own flair while working within the suggested parameters.

When it came to the shoes, less was definitely more - these slightly-peachy flesh tone patent t-bar sandals from Novo were an ideal mix of sophistication & sex appeal, leaving enough of my feet uncovered to work with the slightly-below-the-knee hemline of the dress. Instead of matching the heels to a clutch bag, I decided on an unexpected pop of colour in the form of this bright orange patent clutch from Olga Berg with tiny bow detail on the front.

Choosing the right jewellery for this look was a complete no-brainer - these divine pieces were just a little bit special! The classic, circular-faced women's rose gold & silver Guess watch was a 30th birthday gift from some dear friends, chunky, hinged rose gold bangle was from my local Lovisa store (an absolute steal at $8 during sale time) & delicate silver & pearl ring was given to me by my younger brother after a recent trip to China.

Completing the ensemble was my latest fashion/craft project - & when I say "my," of course I'm referring to my long-suffering mother & blogger-sidekick/photographer, Joanne -  the combination of a faux floral headpiece from Sportsgirl & a sweet, princess-y silver, pearl & diamante tiara from Shiels, both pieces sewn together for stability. Check out the way it sat atop my dark, blunt bob in detail below:

And in case that's not enough, scroll down to see me post with some of my wonderful party loot! Ah, the life of a blogger...

Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song, high above the trees
With a voice was big as the sea

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know?
In your palace walls, mighty king
Do you know what I know?
A child, a child, shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold

Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace, people everywhere
Listen to what I say!
The child, the child, sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
