The perfect ensemble for a morning spent enjoying high tea at the International Hotel with a friend, I dub this look the Stepford-Wife-on-Acid with its eclectic take on a 1950s silhouette in a vivid, large-scale floral print made of comfortable, stretchy elastane, funked up with unexpected accessories in the form of a pair of black patent gladiator sandals (with wedge heels for comfort) & circular handbag with twee painted sides.

That mid-20th-century stalwart, the string of pearls, has been re-imagined for the new millennium with a long strand of the off-round freshwater variety wrapped twice around the neck with a third & final loop left longer to hang down & meet the peplum ruffle at the waistline, visually lengthening my petite frame.

Such a riot of colour, pattern & texture needs little further embellishment, so a simple silver hinged bangle & chunky silver "tube" ring were all that was required to complete the look.
