Beachy Keen: Part Five

Well, here it is; the final installment of my Gold Coast holiday snaps! Scroll down for one last look at what we did, where we went, what we ate... & of course, what I wore...

Sunny morning walks among the palms in a bright & happy vintage Gwen Gwillam rayon muu-muu; white & beige woven sandshoes from Sandgroper at Se Bliss; white vinyl cross-body bag with silver hardware from Forever New; woven wide-brimmed hat from Before Sunset; handmade wooden beaded bracelets with charms from Emmala by Emma (she currently has a stall at the Southbank Markets if you're interested) & a shell anklet from Sabah Homewares in The Strand, Coolangatta.

Posing on the balcony at sunset in a vintage linen Mexican mini dress with floral wool embroidery from Ipswich Antique Centre; beige woven long-line cardigan from Olive & Vine at The Strand, Coolangatta; bronze woven sandals from Sandgroper via Se Bliss; an armful of wooden beaded bracelets from Emmala by Emma & shell ankles from Sabah Homewares.

Nonchalant boardwalk posing (evidently my speciality!) in a vibrant pink embroidered Mexican tunic from Little Tienda; rainbow ombre silk/wool pashmina from a little market stall at Maleny; brown & black rubber sandals with ankle straps & gold diamante t-bar from Novo; black vinyl cross-body bag with gold hardware from Sportsgirl, woven wide-brimmed hat from Before Sunset & "evil eye protection" bracelets from Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant at Southbank Parklands.

Stopping for lunch with my little brother at 52 Espresso, Nobby's Beach after a morning spent trawling through our favourite 70s albums at Rare Groove Records. Both are well worth a visit if you're into delicious food & hard-to-source vinyl! Scroll down for a peek at the DIVINE mixed berry smoothie & gluten free coconut pancakes with vanilla bean ice-cream & berries we enjoyed...

Windswept & Interesting up at Point Danger in a lipstick red cotton Mexican midi dress from Little Tienda; brown & black rubber sandals with ankle straps & gold diamante t-bar from Novo; black vinyl cross-body bag with gold hardware from Sportsgirl; wide-brimmed sunhat from Rigon; beaded bracelet with wooden claps from Shambhala Boutique at Tweed City Shopping Centre & a gold & rainbow faceted bead cuff from a little hippie store on James Street, Burleigh Heads to pick up on the myriad of colours in the dress' stunning floral hand-embroidery.

Afternoon contemplation on our last day. I'm wearing a white floral silk shift dress with lace-up neckline detail from French Connection (sleeves cut slightly shorter for the Queensland Springtime); black & white moulded rubber "starfish" thongs from Aussie Soles (much better looking than Crocs but still so sublimely comfortable); blue vinyl cross-body bag with silver hardware from Sportsgirl for a pop of colour amongst the monochrome; clear resin Wayfarer-style sunglasses from Sunglass Hut & an armful of beaded bracelets from Sea Wish at Coolangatta & Thousand Island Dressing, Paddington.
