Beachy Keen: Part Three

Desperate to see more of our Gold Coast odyssey? I knew you would be! Now's the time to scroll down to see some more holiday hijinks, mouthwatering fare & amazing outfits...

Remember, keep checking in over the NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS for more!

Posing in the early morning on the walk from Rainbow Bay to Greenmount in a printed cotton drawstring mini dress & matching three-quarter-sleeved kimono from Byron Bay based brand Dreamers & Drifters (check out the online store here); comfortable yet stylish woven elastic sandals from Sandgroper via Se Bliss; white vinyl cross-body bag with silver hardware from Forever New to carry all the essentials (well, sunglasses & phone mostly...) & an armful of handmade wooden beaded bracelets with silver charms from Emmala by Emma. I purchased these particular ones from last year's Coolangatta Markets but Emma also has a stall at the Southbank Markets on (most) Friday nights, Saturdays & Sundays.

Mother/Daughter Selfie in Paradise

"The dunes are alive..."
Yup, yet another "Sound of Music" moment. I can't help it; I have the record on repeat...

Hat on; kimono off on the boardwalk to Kirra Beach...

Ready to dive into the (admittedly freezing) azure water wearing a stunning monochrome striped one-piece from Autograph Fashion; long-line black mesh cover-up with under-bust tie from Rockmans; monochrome printed rubber thongs from Mambo; white shell bracelet from Ripcurl & oversized round-frame resin sunglasses from a little store called Windswept & Interesting at Mount Tamborine.

Late afternoon walks along the sand in a Hmong mini dress from a bohemian importer at Burleigh Heads called Shanti Town; white vinyl cross-body bag with silver hardware from Forever New & clear plastic resin Wayfarer-style sunglasses from Sunglass Hut... while carrying my monochrome printed rubber thongs from Mambo, of course. It's a sad fact of our society these days that you really can't go anywhere without shoes as unscrupulous, selfish individuals leave all manner of litter around, including the ever-present broken beer bottle glass. Honestly, the mind boggles as to why anyone would want to spoil such pristine, natural beauty? As far as I'm concerned, there's NOTHING BETTER than dipping your toes in the water while the setting sun creates ripples of light all around you & the cool late-afternoon breeze gently ruffles your hair...

Just casually posing beside some huge, volcanic boulders... so far, so normal, right?
Ah, the life of a fashion blogger.

Delicious Crumbed, Herbed Hoki with Beer Battered Chips & Salad on the Side from Choofa's Steakhouse at Greenmount. Highly recommended!

Matching my gorgeous hand-embroidered Mexican cotton dress from Little Tienda to my surroundings on the way to lunch... Also busting out my new iridescent silver patent flatform brogues from Seed Heritage, white vinyl cross-body bag with silver hardware from Forever New & neutral wooden Emmala by Emma bracelets.

H-U-G-E Beer Battered Fish Burger from GG's Cafe at Kirra Beach

Enjoying the last moments of the afternoon in a blue & white checked cotton baby-doll dress with hot pink floral embroidery from Boom Shankar; white leather lace-up brogues from Wittner with matching white vinyl cross-body bag from Forever New; neutral wooden beaded bracelets with silver charms from Emmala by Emma & woven navy sunhat from Rigon, purchased from a little store at the 2015 Brisbane EKKA.

Feeding the "birds" on the way to Point Danger...
Gotta love public art installations; they make everything just that little bit more interesting.

Contemplative "Froggy" staring out to sea...
