Absolutely Everybunny #3

I know you've all been waiting with baited breath & here it is: the third & final photo installment of the Penny Family Easter festivities! We certainly managed to do a lot over the long weekend, even attending a matinee performance of Shen Yun (part of my birthday present, alluded to in yesterday's post) on Saturday afternoon, followed by delicious Cajun cuisine for dinner at Bourbon St restaurant in Southbank Parklands. Sunday was, of course, celebration day with a visit from the Easter Bunny & trip to Church to glorify the Risen Lord. As always, scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

Posing before heading into the QPAC Concert Hall wearing my gorgeous new blue & silver rose printed jacquard dress with high/low hemline from Anthea Crawford, strappy black leather heels from Wittner with back zipper detailing (ideal for adding a little edge), silvery-mauve vinyl handbag with silver chain straps from Forever New (the perfect size to "dress the look down" for daytime & carry all the essentials... no clutch bag in sight), chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop & pair of black faceted onyx beaded bracelets from Thomas Sabo with a myriad of funky, eclectic charms collected from near & far, some gifted by dear friends & family, some found on my travels. For those who are interested in what each of them are, keep scrolling for a closer look:

For those who don't know, Shen Yun is a performing arts & entertainment company - founded in New York City by Falun Gong/Falun Dafa devotees persecuted in their homeland - specialising in classical Chinese dance as well as ethnic & folk dances & stories set to music with traditional orchestral accompaniment, dazzling high-tech animated backdrops & distinctive, accomplished solo artists. A blend of energy & grace, it is a truly unique experience that almost defies explanation. I suppose it is best summed up by the meaning of its name: Shen means "divine being" & Yun means "rhythm or movement." Therefore, it's literally translation into English is "divine movement" and for me, it was.

Photography wasn't permitted at the show, so here are a few official performance stills to give you an idea of what the actual event itself entailed:

Enjoying all the delights of Southbank Parklands after dark... I'm particularly loving the way that the high/low hemline of the dress was picked up by the breeze as I walked. I love the rustle of fabric all around me for a sumptuous feeling on a special night out!
