Mother of All Celebrations

I'm so excited to share all the beautiful pictures from a Mothers Day spent celebrating a wonderful woman while paying tribute to those mothers, grandmothers, Godmothers & mother figures who couldn't be with us today for a variety of reasons. After attending an inspiration Church service in Moorooka, we headed to a sweet little family-owned cafe in Greenslopes called Jam Pantry for a leisurely brunch.

For the occasion, I donned a gorgeous, retro-inspired monochrome spotted polyester/elastane jumpsuit from girly Aussie label Review with sophisticated bateau neckline, dipped back detailing & wide-legged palazzo 3/4 pants, cinched in at the waist with a shiny patent leather cinch belt from Hell Bunny via That Shop in Carindale & partially covered by (at least in the chill of the morning) a sumptuous champagne/silver silk "cocoon" cut anorak with silver hardware by Marilyn Seyb that I picked up in a little boutique on James Street in Fortitude Valley that has unfortunately now closed. When it came to accessories, I chose a pair of black laser cut leather heeled sandals from Wittner to elongate my frame while still providing comfort, carried a matching black leather shoulder bag from a funky little store in the Wintergarden called Pigeonhole & kept my jewellery simple with one statement piece - a chunky silver "wave" hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers that added the final, art deco touch to the entire ensemble.

Well, without further ado, scroll down to see more snippets from the day...
