When I saw that Lily Loves at Target had these amazing linen blend slip dresses with shoestring straps, relaxed silhouette & tie back detailing in three different colours, I just had to get them for the long, hot summer of 2023/2024 & style them up for a myriad of occasions! As the weather begins to cool down & summer fades from our minds, it's only natural to become wistful about what next summer will bring & with that in mind, I'm sharing my favourite look from each colour option, starting with this beautiful & rather flattering shade of beige/natural/ecru. To stay within a neutral palette, I styled this colourway with a pair of natural or flesh-tone leather & elastic gladiator kitten heels from Wittner for a modicum of height, a natural woven paper slouch bag from Cotton On to carry all the essentials while remaining somewhat inconspicous & went all out on the jewellery instead, choosing a statement-making faux pearl, semi-precious stone & brown beaded necklace & bracelet combo that some dear friends gave me a few years ago as well as a vintage horn wrap bracelet from New Farm Antique Centre to really "amp up" the warm-weather bohemian vibes.

When it came to the second colourway - a stunning, bright & breezy white linen blend - I leaned even further into the beachy, bohemian vibes by adding a pair of silver leather t-bar flat sandals with faux pearls & studs from Carvela by Kurt Geiger for a relaxed feel & carried a natural woven straw bucket bag with diamante detailing from the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique that HAS to be one of the most worn accessories in my wardrobe at this point. When it came to jewellery, I chose a funky shell & twine drop necklace from my local Tree of Life store & then added a matching vintage gold & clear glass beaded necklace & bracelet with swirl pendant from my dearest Beautiful Pangea for some daytime shine.

For the moodier, black colourway - still in the soft & cool linen blend - I chose some dressier accessories in the form of a pair of black leather & elastic strappy heels from Jo Mercer to really feature the slip dress' side split, a boxy natural woven straw handbag with black resin beaded handle from Kitten D'Amour to carry all the essentials & some jewellery to give off a distinctly louche art deco vibe - a black faceted, semi-precious stone & Venetian heart long neckalce from Casino Pawnbrokers in Brisbane City (who have a surprisingly good collection of vintage pieces at reasonable prices) & my favourite vintage Mexican silver bangle stack & 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles vintage silver bangle to complete the look.
