As the "Fairy Tales" exhibition draws to a close at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), I'm excited to be sharing these pictures of a day spent with a dear new friend exploring the carefully curated, contemporary artistic interpretations of these precious tales from our younger years. Avid readers of this blog will already know that I like to dress to a theme but it's also important to keep the specifics of the activity in mind so I chose a beautiful large-scale floral flared midi dress from famed New Zealand designer Trelise Cooper in a sumptuous shade of green for those "princess-y" vibes & added a pair of blue leather bow sandals with stacked wooden heels from a label called Isabellla (not recommended as the sold basically fell apart after the very first wear but thanks to the Hallelujah Shoeworks on Adelaide Street they were able to be salvaged) that I purchased from Tides Boutique at Burleigh Heads as the ideal fusion of form (sweetness) and function (lower heel, easier walking) & a natural woven slouch bag from Cotton On to carry all the essentials including my face mask and hand sanitizer. Finally, a little snapshot of my delicious Spring Roll Vermicelli Noodle dish from Viet De Lites at Soutbank Parklands... the perfect end to a wonderful day!
