Vintage shopping with my best friend at Paddington Antique Centre followed by lunch at The Java Lounge, where they make one of the BEST milkshakes in Brisbane. They even give it to you in the anodised mug it's made in to ensure it's icy cold. It hits the spot even on a wintery weekday... although I couldn't convince Belinda of that so she went for the hot chocolate, apparently also delicious...

There's nothing I love more than rifling through vintage clothing rails & browsing kitschy bric-a-brac for hidden treasures & not-so-hidden antique gems.

A windy day such as this one called for a classic shift dress in a vibrant yet heavy fabric mixed back with a 1980s style leopard print brocade jacket & comfy suede booties, topped off with an eclectic mix of old & new jewellery - Indian inspired chunky studded bangles & a delicate vintage ring that once belonged to a lady called Norma who lived across the road from me when I was a younger. 

Good food, good conversation & a great outfit... what a wonderful way to spend a Thursday!
