A couple of quick dressing-room-mirror selfies & an extremely windblown one taken while traversing the city streets on my way to a casual fashion meeting.
For someone as petite as I am, wearing midi-length styles can be difficult as they are not exactly known for their body-lengthening qualities. I find that adding cropped pieces - a jacket, vest or cape - in darker colours to create a break akin to an empire-line is key, as well as wearing black tights with a wedge heel to give the illusion of longer, leaner legs & make the most of my slim ankles.

Another day, another comfy dress made from textured elastane, the perfect thing to wear for a leisurely Sunday brunch at the local shops. It's always a win when an item of clothing is both stylish & comfortable & this peplum dress allows me to enjoy all the pastries I want without having to worry about a restrictive waistline!
A shearling motorcycle jacket keeps it casual while the cement-bag-turned-clutch adds both a pop of colour (long-time readers of this blog will know that I am partial to black & blue with accents of red) & an unexpected element that is sure to get passers-by talking. I was asked a lot of questions about it by my inquisitive fellow shoppers & it was a fantastic opportunity to let them know all about the important work of Fair Trade shopping initiatives.
