Finally posting ALL the outfit pictures of this amazing outfit I "styled up" to attend a performance of The Royal Ballet's "Woolf Works," based on three celebrated literary works by seminal English author Virginia Woolf - Mrs Dalloway, Orlando & The Waves - enmeshed with excerpts from her diaries, letters & essays. My desire was to capture the free & uniquely modern realism of the production with my ensemble, hence the raucousness of the colour palette, unexpectedness of the design elements & inclusion of funky accessories for what was, quite frankly, a rather "dressy" occasion.

I began by donning this midi-length, fit-to-flare dress with bateau neckline - in a sumptuous shade of purple - from Anthea Crawford, layered up with a busy, floral-printed crushed silk kimono-style jacket from a little boutique called Windswept & Interesting (their own in-house design) & cinched in at the waist with a shiny black patent stretch belt from That Shop in Coolangatta to create shape & a "contour line," as stylists are wont to espouse. The cinching also inadvertently created a "handkerchief hem" for the jacket that really gave the entire look a sense of flair & movement; perfect for any occasion based around the world of the dancer.

When it came to footwear, I just couldn't go past my all-time favourite shiny black patent ankle boots with "Anne of Green Gables" style button detailing from Wittner (a pair of Razzamatazz 40 denier tights keeping my legs & feet warm underneath, of course) & to match, I carried a semi-circular clutch bag from Diana Ferrari with silver hardware. Jewellery was kept incredibly, ostensibly because most of my body was covered with fabric due to the cold weather - a resin flower brooch from trendy Aussie brand Erstwilder, gifted to me for my birthday from a dear friend.
