We recently spent a wonderful evening celebrating the birthday of a very special person, my brother's girlfriend Jennie, at the fabulous Himalayan Cafe on Brunswick Street in New Farm! The birthday girl was quite adventurous with her choice of food & location in the same way that I was adventurous with my choice of attire...

There I am, posing near the beautifully painted front door wearing a sumptuous cranberry satin empire-line dress with cowl neckline & bow detail from Aussie brand Review (known for their girly silhouettes) mixed with a mustard velvet embroidered jacket with tassels cascading down the front panels from Tree of Life for that touch of luxe bohemian. When it came to footwear, I donned by all-time favourite shiny black patent & matte ankle boots with button detailing from Wittner, worn with 40 denier tights to ward off the chill in the air & to match, I carried a black suede clutch from Portmans. Jewellery was simple yet effective: a chunky bronze cocktail ring comprised of many different tiny circles of pattern from Thousand Island Dressing on one hand & a square bronze ring with a picture of a "patchwork" bird (gifted to me by dear friends for Christmas) on the other.

Now that all the fashion details are out of the way, scroll down to see how the evening unfolded...

All Smiles

Happy Birthday Jennie!
