It's no secret that I love a good floral dress all year round, but there's something that just seems extra special in the warmer, spring/summer months about bright blooms with a light-coloured backdrop. This gorgeous satin cold-shoulder dress from Anthea Crawford, with its plethora of painterly flowers & white background is an ideal case in point: suitable for many different occasions, able to be dressed up or down, weather appropriate & for some strange reason, able to bring a smile to many faces. Seriously, I lost count of how many people stopped me in the street to say how much they loved the dress! On this particular occasion - a styling job at the Brisbane Airport DFO - I opted for edgier accessories in the form of comfortable, chunky black leather heeled sandals from Jo Mercer, a shiny red patent handbag with silver hardware from Vera May that I found at the delightful Simona Ricci store at Mt Ommaney for that extra "pop" of colour & finally, a matching black resin "wave" bangle & oversized "rosette" cocktail ring from celebrated Aussie avant garde label Dinosaur Designs.
