During the height of the Queensland summer, navy can be a good alternative to black if you are looking for something that doesn't seem as harsh under the sun's unforgiving rays but you still like to dress on the "darker" side, as it were. Let's face it, despite the temperature, some of us are just never going to be pastel, linen people for a myriad of reasons... as much as we may wish to be. This satin-backed crepe "wiggle" dress with cold-shoulder detailing, embroidered floral lace neckline & ruffled hem from Anthea Crawford is a prime example of wintery hues being utilised in the warmer months, particularly when mixed with blush leather lace-up heels from Wittner & a blush vinyl soft clutch with brightly coloured wool tassels from Adorne for that laid-back bohemian feel that is synonymous with December - February in the "land down under" & finally, a funky silver hinged bangle in the shape of a wave from Precious Stones in the Myer Centre for that touch of daytime sparkle.
