Nothing better than a floaty dress on a balmy Summer afternoon for a spot of shopping followed by dinner at one of my favourite Korean places, Madtongsan. For some reason, this stunning dress from Jenny May (purchased at Lillee Fashions in Yamanto) had been languishing at the back of my closet for over a year - probably because I just couldn't decide on what accessories looked best with it - but all that changed when I was given an amazing gold vinyl handbag with brightly-hued teddy bear charms for Christmas... like birds of a feather, the two just seemed to "go" together!

What I love most about the dress, besides the flattering v-neckline & on-trend midi length is the way that the black mesh (with attached black slip) makes the elongating vertical printed "panels" appear as though they are floating when the fit-to-flare skirt moves in the breeze. It truly makes something rather "everyday" seem ethereal & magical. Check it out below:

My trusty black leather, laser-cut lace-up sandals from Novo were ideal with this look, adding a touch of edge to the dress' feminine silhouette while providing a modicum of height... & of course, the light gold handbag with gold hardware & sweet teddy bear charms "took it to another level" again with a touch of sheen & levity.

Jewellery was kept sculptural & to a minimum - a chunky gold, bronze & semi-precious stone cuff that I picked up at one of the many EKKA Market stalls in 2015 & the matching oversized semi-precious stone cocktail ring.

Well, now that the fashion's taken care of, scroll down for a peek at rest of the pictures I took that day, including this #selfie in a pair of funky, retro-style (faux) tortoiseshell John Lennon sunglasses from my local Witchery store... I believe they are still available for purchase & are currently on sale. Run, don't walk...
