Well, it's been a long time coming (you know, festive season insanity & whatnot) but I'm finally posting the pictures from the wonderful Sunday morning celebrating a darling little boy who turned one just before Christmas! In an effort to beat the heat, I donned a bright & breezy pink & white pin-striped cotton midi dress with puff sleeve detailing & waist tie from Aussie label Lee Mathews, mixing it with a pair of funky white leather heeled sandals with ankle lacing detailing & pompoms (!) from Wittner (my go-to brand, as most of my readers already know) & white vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Forever New. Jewellery was kept simple yet vibrant - a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop for a touch of daytime shine & a stack of brightly coloured, striped thread bangles in different shapes & thicknesses from boho brand Tree of Life to keep the colour party going.

On a side note, if you are looking for someone to make you an amazing cake like this one for a special event or occasion (Wedding, Baptism, Birthday) & you live in Brisbane or the surrounding areas, send me a quick message via Franny Gets Frocked's Facebook page & I can see about putting you in touch with the talented baker/decorator who made this masterpiece! It was always my favourite part of going to school fetes or the EKKA as a kid, so why stop now that I'm an adult?
