When it comes to "styling up" outfits, what I really love is the juxtaposition of pieces - expensive mixed with cheaper options, the interplay of textures, sweet meets edgy - that kind of thing. My favourite, however, is this "new" idea of mixing pretty, feminine, floaty dresses with chunky, man-style shoes like joggers or, in this case, brogues. The gorgeous, monochrome printed polyblend trapeze dress with its high neckline & floaty silhouette from Veronika Maine, slightly "reined in" by the addition of black chiffon sleeveless vest from a little boutique called Boo Boo's in The Strand at Coolangatta looked great when contrasted with a pair of classic-with-a-twist black leather & white moulded rubber brogues from Wittner... The epitome of both comfort & style, I can't express enough how much you feet will thank you at the end of the day as they are seriously sole-saving by design! When it came to accessories, I opted for a plain black leather handbag from Pigeonhole to let the rest of the ensemble shine & wore silver jewellery in the form of silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop & chunky, androgynous silver watch (a subtle nod to the brogues) from celebrated American label, Guess.
