So excited to share all the pictures from a wonderful day spent exploring the 2018 Buddha's Birthday Festival at Southbank with family & dear friends. There is so much to see & do (in addition to all that the Parklands already has to offer) with a range of religious displays, variety of cultural performances, interactive activities, market stalls & a plethora of delicious vegetarian food options. This is the fifth year that I have attended & it just seems to get "bigger & better" every single time!

For the occasion, I decided to wear "an oldie but a goodie" in the form of this vibrant red & black printed silk shift from Oroton (years old by now) with funky oversized sleeves, high neckline & thick black zipper up the back, mixed with a pair of comfortable black leather heeled sandals from Wittner & a black nylon & textured vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Nautica to keep my hands free. When it came to jewellery, I decided to layer up with a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop, thin "twisted" silver bangle from Showcase Jewellers & matching silver & onyx charm bracelet & ring from Pandora to pick up on the black running through the dress print. Finally, I perched a black straw cloche hat with spotted grosgrain ribbon band from Blue Illusion on my head to ward off the harmful rays of the Queensland sun & amp up the outfit's obvious nod to the art deco vibes of the 1920s.
