Finally sharing all the gorgeous pictures from a night out celebrating Jennie's birthday at a funky little restaurant nestled in the heart of Coorparoo called California Native, serving Cali-Mex cuisine & specialty margaritas in eclectic surroundings with "golden oldies" playing the background including Donovan, Creedence Clearwater Revival & the Eagles, which avid readers of this blog will already know is definitely my jam.
For the occasion, I wore a boho-inspired, eclectic ensemble of my own: a stunning black & soft gold baroque printed twill midi dress with black satin & tulle underlay from Chi Chi London via Asos (altered substantially by myself & my seamstress Desley); military-inspired cropped black jacquard jacket with red checked flanelette lining, gold buttons & burnished embroidery from Free People, discovered at St Barts boutique in Fortitude Valley; shiny black patent ankle boots with buttons from Wittner; matte 40 denier black nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs feeling toasty-warm & a retro, carved wooden nut handbag with leather patchwork strap from Empire Antiques (formerly Paddington Antique Centre) gifted to me by a dear friend. Completing the look was a recent gift from another special someone: a chunky, carved resin, tribal style bangle from a nameless little vintage store that only added to the hippie-luxe vibe I was channeling.
