As they embark on a big overseas holiday, I'm sharing pictures from a few weekends ago when a dear friend & her little munchkin spent the weekend adventuring with me closer to home, daytripping to the Eumundi Markets on Saturday before sharing brunch at a cosy little neighbourhood cafe called The Hub on Sunday morning, where a certain little smoothie fiend was in seventh heaven...

For the roadtrip "up north" to Queensland's premier artisan markets renowned for its magical, locally-made treasures I donned a gorgeous & girly floral neoprene midi dress with faux wrap detailing from Portmans, cropped baby pink mohair cardigan from Kitten D'Amour, comfortable yet stylish tan leather ankle boots with silver zippers from Renee Loves Frances & a cane crossbody bag with tan vinyl strap from one of the stallholders at the Orion Springfield Central markets. When it came to jewellery, I decided that "more was indeed more" in order to evoke that bohemian vibe I absolutely adore, wearing a chunky maple wood watch from the Montville Wood Shop & volcanic stone beaded bracelet in shades of blue, navy, cream & grey that some dear friends gifted me on their return from Greece (thanks Bronwyn & David!) on one arm & a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop on the other.

For a lazy Sunday morning brunch in the suburbs, I wore a darling blue & silver large-scale floral jacquard fit-to-flare dress with faux midriff bodice detailing from Aussie label Review, grey/beige silk anorak with heavy silver hardware from Marilyn Seyb that I picked up from a little store called Kova Lifestyle in Fortitude Valley, pewter glitter & vinyl ankle boots from Rollie Nation via Milu that are seriously the lightest & most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn & a cream canvas crossbody bag with heavy fringing, embellishment & silver beading from a boutique called The Robe at The Barracks. When it came to jewellery, minimal was the name of the game - the volcanic beaded bracelet from the day before (so kindly gifted) was all that was required.

Keep scrolling to see what we ate at The Hub, how much a certain little smoothie fiend enjoyed his (well, mine actually) "bananarama" breakfast smoothie & for a peek at my outfit minus the anorak...
