Celebrating love in all of its forms with a few Valentines Day posts...

These first photographs were taken at a newly-opened (well, within the last few years) local shopping centre in front of the gorgeous murals - created by local artists - they currently have adorning the walls of shopfronts waiting for businesses to take up residence. I'm wearing a stunning large-scale floral twill fit-to-flare midi dress from celebrated Australian designer Anthea Crawford, a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from retro-inspired label Kitten D'Amour, a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials including the ever-present facemask & hand sanitizer & finally, a darling resin brooch from Erstwilder in the shape of a blue bird of happiness carrying a love letter!

Garden Daze

When I was little, there was this show called "Tales from Fat Tulip's Garden" that was basically a ten-minutes-long episode where Tony Robinson (yep, Baldrick from "Blackadder") would start telling a story directly to the camera before finishing telling the tale over images of an English country garden. The stories were usually all about Ernie & Silv, two frogs who lived in the garden of the owner - the aforementioned Fat Tulip - & was just so incredibly engaging despite a lack of any "bells & whistles" as some would call them. I absolutely adored the show (in all honesty, it was third only after "The Sooty Show" & "Lift Off") & it makes me so immeasurably happy when I look at these pictures & just get, well, Fat Tulip's Garden vibes! It's all I could ever hope for in a backyard garden & I'm elated to finally share it with you after a quick revamp of the "green" area with the swings, the hacienda with the hanging pots, the deck with the two distinct seating areas & the lower backyard with the mango tree on one side & the water tank on the other.

Scroll down to take it all in...
I hope it makes you feel as peaceful, happy & nostalgic as it makes me & if you get time later, you should check out "Tales from Fat Tulip's Garden" on YouTube because you won't be disappointed!
