All things bright & beautiful for the springtime-like weather we've been experiencing here in South East Queensland! I'm loving this gorgeous matching set - made from funky pieces of coloured lace, sewn together like a patchwork quilt & lined in comfortable, soft cotton - from cult Australian label Gorman, styled up with a pair of black matte leather heeled booties from Wittner for a modicum of height & vintage patchwork pouch bag that some dear friends gifted me to carry all the essentials (face mask, hand sanitizer). When it came to adding final accessories, I decided to really "zuszh" the look up with a gorgeous silk Monet print scarf in a similar, complementary colour palette that I picked up as a souvenir from the Monet in Paris exhibition & a chunky green resin coiled snake bangle with red diamante eyes from Mrs Polly's Lucite that was given to me by some dear friends who now reside overseas.

Another day, another trip to the small town of Rosewood with its mouth-watering bakery, sweet boutiques & pretty historical parks. This time, I'm tapping into the cottagecore trend & sitting pretty on one of the Penny Farthing bicycle statues in the Cobb & Co Heritage Park - in the bright winter sunshine - wearing a gorgeous red floral crepe prairie midi dress with embroidered, elasticated neckline & cuffs from Australian designer label Morrison, styled up with a green knitted cardigan from my local Target store, a pair of black matte & patent leather ankle boots with buttons (known colloquially as the "Anne of Green Gables" boots around the house) from Wittner, black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs warm, a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials & finally, a handmade black leather necklace with wooden pendant from a label called Sonia, gifted to me by a dear friend.

All the beautiful pictures from balmy wintertime morning at Southbank, strolling around the rainforest area of the parklands before heading over to the cultural precinct by the water for a tour of the newly refurbished dinosaur display (among others) at the Queensland Museum followed by a trip around the limited-time-only "Ex de Medici" exhibit at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) with a dear friend from overseas who happens to be visiting. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous green, white & tan floral print chiffon mini dress with ruffled v-neckline, voluminous sleeves, tiered hem & self tie belt from Forever New that I styled up with a pair of black matte leather pointy-toed booties from Wittner for a modicum of height & a natural woven straw handbag with black leather clasp & black resin beaded handle from vintage-inspired label Kitten D'Amour to carry all the essentials (facemask and hand sanitizer). When it came to jewellery, I chose some favourite pieces - a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles gifted by some dear friends, a single vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles given to me by my younger brother & finally, a funky green glitter resin dinosaur brooch from a little boutique (that I can't seem to find anymore) from Etsy to complete the look with a little nod to the day's festivities.
