Finally sharing all the pictures of the gorgeous ensemble that I styled up to attend Let It Be: The Concert Experience where five of Australia's finest vocalists - John Paul Young, Glen Shorrock, Russel Morris, Doug Parkinson & Jack Jones - performed two hours of the most popular Lennon/McCartney songs as voted by the audience, including Yesterday, Norwegian Wood, Hey Jude & many more! I'm wearing a stunning, flower-power-inspired black floral embroidered lace fit to flare dress with cold shoulder detailing & high/low hemline from Anthea Crawford cinched with a stretchy patent leather belt from HellBunny that I found at That Shop in Carindale, military red velvet jacket with gold trimming & brass buttons galore from Tree of Life for those Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band vibes, shiny black patent ankle boots from Wittner & black suede roll-top clutch from Portmans to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple yet statement-making with an oversized, handmade black ceramic heart cocktail ring from Melbourne artist Studio Leanne to complete the look.

It's true that there are only ten days of EKKA but this year, I've been lucky enough to be able to experience everything the Royal Queensland Show has to offer not once... but twice! The vibe was certainly different on the penultimate day of the season - less frenetic than the very first day & more chilled out with store holders, competitors & those maintaining the various displays (for a pretty thorough rundown, click here for my previous post) becoming more comfortable with their surroundings having developed routines & knowing that the end was in sight, so to speak - but both days were equally enjoyable, not least due to the company I was keeping, in this particular instance, my younger brother Louis.

After being led astray by the weather report on the first day, I decided to wear something that was more attune to springtime temperatures in the form of this utterly divine blue & white striped linen smock from Meg By Design (discovered at the amazing Bristle by Melissa Simmonds in Paddington), white embroidered mesh three-quarter-sleeved kimono with lace trim from Orange Sherbet boutique in Redcliffe, white perforated leather sneakers from Wittner & a navy vinyl crossbody bag with pompom strap detailing & silver hardware from French Connection to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free to explore the food stalls, play games at Sideshow Alley, pat some friendly sheep & goats & of course, fill my belly with some delicious fare & sweet apple cider at Rydges' Paddock Bar. Jewellery was kept minimal - merely a silver art deco style hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers to complete the ensemble.
