So elated to be sharing all the beautiful pictures from a recent family dinner at Botany Restaurant & Bar celebrating my wonderful father's birthday! Nestled at the edge of the recently regentrified Gasworks precinct at Newstead near the iconic, heritage-listed gas ring (some of which you can see in the photographs), it's a delightful place for a leisurely time spent in each other's company enjoying good food & fabulous cocktails - for those of us who like to indulge in that sort of thing - & if you're lucky like we were, reveling in cool breezes wafting up the street from the Brisbane River to take the humidity level down considerably.

For the occasion, I donned a stunning floral cotton puff sleeve midi dress with asymmetrical hemline & self-tie belt with gold buckle from celebrated Australian designer Aje, styled up with a pair of funky purple vegan leather slingbacks & woven purple & burgundy vegan leather handbag from cult label Gorman, a trio of gold & silver sparkly bangles that a dear friend brought back from a trip to India, an oversized gold & diamante ring in the shape of a bow from the V&A Museum Gift Shop that I picked up on a trip to Europe a decade ago & finally, a cute little enamel brooch depicting Miffy sitting on the crescent moon from Erstwilder, that was discovered at the GOMA Gift Shop on a recent trip to see the "Air" exhibition.

Mouth-watering...

There's always room for dessert & coffee... especially if that dessert is a brownie or, in my case, a caramel creme brulee...
