Finally posting all the pictures from a wonderful morning spent at the newly refurbished Garden City Shopping Centre (seems to be a bit of a trend in Brisbane, if you happened to read my last post...) with a dear friend & her gorgeous little blue-eyed boy! I'm posing by the water in the epic outdoor eating area in a gorgeous large-scale floral jacquard dress with faux midriff detail from Aussie clothing brand Review, pattern-mixed with a paisley wool jacket with mandarin collar from Tree of Life for visual interest. Once again, Wittner shoes graced my feet - this time a shiny black patent & matte pair (reminiscent of the 1800s... I like to call them my "Anne of Green Gables" pair) with button detail & I carried a black velvet shoulder bag with embroidered floral detailing & silver hardware, gifted to me by friends for my birthday... & also by Review.

Scroll down for some close-up shots of the full look as well as a little peek at my delicious lunch from Perks Kitchen Cafe... & my cheeky little dining companion!

The newly refurbished Indooroopilly Shoppingtown is fast becoming one of my favourite places to go for a quick bite to eat (scroll down to the end of this post for some brunch inspiration!) or bit of shopping at one of the many department stores or eclectic boutiques. Here I am posing against the gorgeous "indoor garden" wall in a funky black jersey & pink floral jacquard dress with pleated skirt from Anthea Crawford, leather waterfall jacket from Zara, shiny black patent & matte leather ankle boots from Wittner & purple & pink faux snakeskin shoulder bag from Nine West. When it came to jewellery, I played it simple with silver & onyx tones: a fob necklace with "harmony ball" pendant from Prouds & an oversized circular ring from Georgini. All in all, a simple yet effective wintertime ensemble.

Abbeystowe

Finally posting all the pictures from a wonderful day spent travelling "back in time" at the Abbey Medieval Festival in Caboolture. Spanning three days in July & attracting all manner of medieval enthusiasts, historians, re-enactment groups, Gothics & other historically-inspired subcultures (Game of Thrones, anyone?) it's a chance to immerse oneself in a truly unique & colourful event with jousting competitions, archery, fencing, blacksmithing, wrestling, flower wreath making, renaissance art, historical talks & market stalls selling everything from food & drink to fashion!

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...
