So excited to share all the pictures from my recent birthday celebration with you lovely readers! It was a quiet one, owing to the fact that it fell on Maundy Thursday, in the thick of the school holidays & during a time that some family & friends couldn't attend due to the pandemic but nevertheless, it was special to mark another trip around the sun with all kind thoughts & good wishes from those I hold dear. In the morning, I enjoyed a trip to my local Garden Centre in the sunshine to pick up some more plants & pots for the back garden before opening some of my lovely presents & in the evening, shared a leisurely takeaway meal from one of my all-time favourite restaurants, Oishii Sushi Bar & a few slices of Condensed Milk Pie that my mother made specially to mark the occasion.
For the day's events, I wore the funky, printed linen Resonance jumpsuit with shoestring straps, wide-legged pants & matching linen/cotton blend bucket hat from Gorman's recent collaboration with artist Kaitlin Johnson, a pair of casual tan leather & elastic sandals from Aussie shoe design stalwart Wittner, a circular cane crossbody bag with tan leather strap from Renee Loves Frances & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that were gifted to me last Christmas by some dear friends.

My wonderful parents gave me a stunning Arts & Crafts Era statue of two women (found at the inimitable Jubilee Antiques section of New Farm Antique Centre) that I subsequently filled with realistic-looking faux fruits - lemons, limes & grapes - from Wheel & Barrow as well as an utterly divine Art Deco (1920s/30s) Alabaster Clock with matching candle holders from the same amazing sellers & round candles from online emporium Candle Kiosk, pictured below...

For dinner in the evening, I donned an utterly divine, voluminous shirred midi dress with tiered hemline in buttercup yellow organza from whimsical British label Sister Jane's premium diffusion line Dream Sister Jane, styled up with a soft blue silk/wool knit poncho from Tree of Life to ward off the slight Autumn chill in the air, a pair of boho-luxe suede & beaded tan, blue, copper & gold sandals from Candy Code with a matching long beaded necklace with leaf charm from hidden gem Temptations Boutique in Winston Glades to complete the look.
