Feeling bright, beautiful & bohemian in this gorgeous gold & black geometric print coated linen maxi dress with floral ruffled hemline from Australian label Adrift via David Jones paired with a vibrant orange knitted cardigan from Suzanne Grae to ward off the chill in the air, a pair of black matte leather ankle boots with patent toes from Wittner, a black vinyl triangular shoulder bag from French Connection to carry all the essentials & an eclectic, chunky black leather necklace with wooden pendant that was given to me by a dear friend to complete the look.

As a stylist, I love nothing better than something sartorially unexpected & this stunning shift dress with high, ruffled neckline & elasticated cuffs from slow fashion label Wellington Factory certainly fits the bill! Made from a cotton fabric mainly used for men's suiting but used in a funky, rather nonchalant way, it certainly is the true definition of business/casual in my mind. I've styled it up here for a shopping trip followed by a leisurely lunch in the park with a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from retro-inspired brand Kitten D'Amour, a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials, a vintage silver bangle my brother bought me from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles (formerly of Coolangatta, now of Tweed Heads) & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that some friends sent from overseas as a thoughtful surprise.

Channeling one of my all-time favourite literary heroines - Alice from Lewis Carroll's famed tome "Alice in Wonderland" (1865) with this gorgeous ensemble that all started when I was given an amazing iron-on patch from Dangerfield depicting the White Rabbit in the Queen of Heart's robes! I knew that I had the perfect dress to attach it to - this utterly stunning white/cream textured heart jacquard cap sleeve smock dress with black grosgrain ribbon tie back from whimsical British label Sister Jane's premium diffusion line, Dream Sister Jane - & after that was done (all of five minutes to use the iron & an old tea towel to affix it snugly), I styled it up immediately with a pair of black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for a modicum of height & red resin sunglasses from Review to pick up the red inherent in the hearts & bow on the patch. Viola! It certainly didn't take a long time to pay homage...
