Finally sharing all of the gorgeous pictures from a recent birthday celebration for my cousin's darling little boy who turned six. Despite the relaxing of many restrictions here in South East Queensland, the spectre of Covid still looms large in the minds of many & so things were kept relatively small & outside in the fresh air of my aunt's extensive & rather magical backyard with its pergolas, fairy garden, pond & stream, wishing well & fernery. It was so wonderful to be able to finally spend some time together after being separated for so much of the year & to be able to ring in yet another milestone with dinosaur party decorations, oodles of presents & chocolate mud cake!

For the occasion, I wore a vintage-inspired cotton fit-to-flare dress from Retrospec'd in a beautiful nautical boat print, styled up with a pair of white leather pointy-toed mules with wooden stacked heels from Country Road, a natural woven straw shoulder bag from H&M that I picked up for princely sum of $20, a silver "wave" shaped hinged bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers in the Myer Centre & a dainty bracelet made from silver & blue turquoise beads that I purchased from the sadly-now-defunct Oxfam Shop many years ago.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...
