Finally posting all the pictures from a wonderful dinner at Brisbane's Phat Elephant Thai Restaurant to celebrate the birthdays of my younger brother Louis & my cousin Nicholas. Here I am, posing outside on the grassy area of Post Office Square wearing a stunning monochrome "star" lace tiered midi dress with plunging neckline from avant garde Aussie designers Romance Was Born, shiny black patent leather brogues with pointy-toes & contrasting white molded rubber soles from Wittner & carrying a speckled grey vinyl shoulder bag with silver hardware from Nine West. When it came to jewellery, I decided to wear some of my favourite pieces: a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop & matching silver & onyx charm bracelet & ring from Pandora.

After a delicious dinner of fried noodles (always my first choice when it comes to a Thai restaurant) we headed over to King George Square to marvel at the Christmas Light Show & Solar Powered Christmas Tree at City Hall. Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

What can I say? I just love an OTT Christmas Tree!

Happy Birthday Louis & Nicholas!
May the year ahead bring you all the good things you so richly deserve.
Love You.

Pool Daze

It's Christmas Eve & the forecast is for heatwave conditions in South East Queensland. I'm thinking back to recent trips to my local swimming pool with a certain pair of munchkins & thought I'd share the photographs with all you lovely readers!

Under the "Toadstool Showers" in a gorgeous black & neon floral printed one-piece pair of swimming togs with retro style ruched bodice & skirt detailing from Taking Shape, shell & twine beaded anklet from a little pop up boutique at The Strand in Coolangatta & woven sunhat from a market stall at the EKKA a few years ago... ideal for squashing down into a beach bag, getting soaking wet & then drip drying later until it snaps back into its original shape.

Posing post-swim session in an easy breezy Yale-striped cotton smock dress with ruched sleeves & empire-line waist tie detailing from Aussie brand Lee Mathews, white leather cage sandals from Wittner, white vinyl handbag with silver hardware from Forever New & Tibetan silver jewellery from some little boutiques in Maleny.

San Churro Chocolateria at Orion Springfield for some refreshments...
I love the limited edition Strawberry Coconut Ice!

Another day, another swimsuit! Here I am posing under the "Egyptian Arches" of the children's splash park area, which is all very imaginative & whimsical. This bohemian-printed, skirted one piece is from Autograph Fashion & what I truly love is the retro space that makes it almost like one of those beachwear playsuits that they used to wear in all the old movies. It doesn't cling even when it's wet, making it ideal for traipsing around the pool post-swim...
