Dear Santa

As we grow older, real life has a tendency to creep in, making it harder & harder to enjoy the festive season with the wonderment of a child. It is a beautiful thing to be reminded of the excitement of seeing all the brightly coloured displays in stores, the joy of sitting on Santa's knee to whisper to him what you hope to receive on the morning of December 25th & the pleasure of watching the lights twinkle on your very own Christmas tree. I was blessed this year to be able to accompany my cousin & her two little munchkins to "The Santa Experience" (any children of the 90s remember that Rugrats episode?) at my local Myer store & to help decorate their tree & take some festive photographs.

Here I am, posing with an eager James & "hangry" Riley in a gorgeous petrol green guipure lace fit-to-flare dress from Aussie brand Review, matte black leather peeptoe sandals with silver buckles from Wittner, black vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Urban Originals (ideal for carrying all the essentials while helping wrangling small fry) & a pair of beautiful silver & blown glass Christmas bracelets, gifted to me a few years ago & packed away until December each year.

Scroll down to see how the rest unfolded... including the professional photograph with Old Saint Nick...
