Mucha

Dress: Black Milk Clothing spandex
Cardigan: Kitten D'Amour knit
Sandals: Saltwater Sandals leather
Necklace: Gift, vintage plastic beads

Can't believe that I somehow overlooked these darling pictures, leaving them languishing in my computer's 2021 blog folder! Taken on a much cooler, rainy day in the Sunshine State when I had moved all my plants over to the hacienda area of the pergola to try & get a bit more sunshine, I'm wearing the Four Seasons Princess Midi Dress from Black Milk Clothing, replete with famed art nouvea artist Alphone Mucha's glorious 1897 depictions of ethereal women in a plethora of countryside scenes. I've styled it up with a vibrant purple cropped knit cardigan from vintage-inspired label Kitten D'Amour, a pair of black leather flat Saltwater Sandals & a chunky vintage black & clear beaded choker-style necklace to complete the look, but I could also easily imagine it dressed up "to the nines" with a voluminous tulle petticoat, deco-style high heels, a funky clutch & a floral headpiece. A truly special piece to have in my wardrobe.

Green & White Gingham

Dress: Faithfull the Brand via The Iconic linen
Sandals: Birkenstocks via Footgear leather
Sunglasses: Sportsgirl faux tortoiseshell

Spending the afternoon traversing my own neighbourhood in the balmy midsummer breeze wearing one of the sweetest gingham dresses that I've ever owned - this green & white linen stunner with puff sleeves, above-the-knee ruffled hemline & shirred bodice from Faithfull the Brand via online emporium The Iconic. When it came to styling, I've gone for casual & comfortable with a pair of white leather Gizeh style Birkenstock sandals (purchased from the wonderful Footgear store at Indooroopilly) & a pair of faux tortoiseshell sunglasses from my local Sportsgirl store to complete the look.

My local Target store is absolutely hitting it out of the park this year with their summertime collection, particularly the beautiful linen pieces in a variety of silhouettes, colours & prints. In this stylist's opinion, the "best of the best" is this stunning soft pink & blush beige floral linen drop-waist midi dress from the Preview line that I've styled up in two different ways in these gorgeous pictures, taken in a local park.

The first look features a pair of blush suede slingbacks with high wooden stacked heels from Forever New to add height, a blush velvet envelope clutch from Asos to carry all the essentials & a wooden African animal & bead necklace with matching wooden bangles from Beautiful Pangea
