After taking some time away to spend a leisurely Christmas with my family, I'm delighted to be back & sharing some snippets from our festive celebrations over the next three blog posts! This first post contains pictures from a Christmas Eve spent delivering last minute care packages & gifts to those we hadn't had the chance to catch up with in person since the re-opening of the borders & rapid increase in Covid cases in the state, organizing nibblies, food & drinks for the next few days, enjoying the overcast weather under the pergola, marveling at the beauty of the Christmas Tree, bathing in the colourful Christmas lights both inside & outside the house, watching one of our all-time seasonal favourites, "Home Alone" & putting on a succession of beautiful outfits, including new floral cotton nightie, robe & slippers.

To begin, I took some pictures under our backyard mango tree wearing a gorgeous soft-lime-green striped cotton shirtdress with puff sleeves & elasticated waist from Aussie designer Acler Woman (discovered at my local David Jones store), a pair of silver leather slingback sandals with wooden stacked heels & oversized gold buckles from Florsheim, a trio of sparkly gold & silver beaded bangles that a dear friend brought back from India a few years ago & finally, a carved wooden bangle - squared shaped - engraved with the Rhyme of the Rings from J.R.R. Tolkien's fabled "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, gifted to me by a friend who recently visited the movie settings in New Zealand.
