If there's one place that I love to visit regularly, it's a nursery or garden centre as they are often called these days. Something about being surrounded by verdant greenery just seems to lift the spirits & brighten the countenance, if I do say so myself. This particular place, Mappins in West End, is a hipster's dream with its eclectic decor, myriad of hanging plants, schools of vibrant fish & other aquatic species & plethora of funky, artistic planters. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous mauve & black spotted flocked organza midi dress with long sleeves & tiered detailing from New Zealand designer Trelise Cooper & a black elastane slip from Taking Shape underneath for modesty, a pair of chunky black leather ankle boots with laces & silver buckles from Midas & a black vegan leather crossbody bag with silver hardware from Urban Originals to complete the look.
