Saturday in Surfers Paradise (part 2)

Finally sharing all of the hilarious pictures from a wonderful day spent together (my mother & father, younger brother Louis, cousin Renee & her two rambunctious munchkins as well as yours truly) at Surfers Paradise on Queensland's celebrated Gold Coast, playing a few rounds of mini golf at King Tutt's Putt Putt - the Jurassic Course followed by the Egyptian Course, as dictated by our future/potential paleontologists/archaeologists - before heading down to the beach for a swim, delicious fish & chips from Montmartre by the Sea & an ice cream from a little store in Cavill Avenue to finish before one final swim & a long car ride home...

This second installment (the first was yesterday & you can check it out by clicking here) comprises of all of the glorious pictures from the golden sands & crystal waters of Ocean Avenue Beach (across the road from where we played mini golf & much quieter than down at Cavill Avenue) where we paddled in the cool water, made sandcastle on the shore, played with our Wahu wave rider toys in the waves, sat on our picnic blanket to eat our hot & salty fish & chips (or in the case of the boys, just the chips), ate our freezing cold ice creams while wrapped in our towels & had just one more play before bidding farewell to the waves until next time.

Scroll down to see more, including what I wore...

Posing on the boardwalk in the sunshine wearing a gorgeous pair of retro-inspired navy & white spotted spandex/lycra swimming togs with faux skirt bottom from Jantzen via my local David Jones store, a cropped white cotton top with lace trim from Fiore boutique at Paddington to ward off the sun's harmful rays, the same cream & silver cotton shoulder bag from Sussan that I wore to play mini gold earlier & the same vintage silver bangle from India & finally, a mustard yellow & white floral cotton sunhat with tie from boho emporium Ghanda that works just as well in or out of the water & can't blow away in the sea breeze!

Keep scrolling for how the rest of the day unfolded...

Best seats in the house... I mean, beside the beach...

Hijinks with Uncle Louis...
