Spent a wonderful Sunday celebrating the most important woman in our lives - my mother, Joanne - with a birthday buffet lunch at one of our all-time favourites, The Brasserie on the River at Stamford Plaza. For such an auspicious occasion, I went for monochrome with just a hint of purple - a gorgeous dress from Anthea Crawford with black & white tulle cut-out bodice and heavy black cotton skirt with mullet hemline; strappy black leather heeled sandals from Novo for a bit of edge; speckled monochrome shoulder bag with silver chain straps from Nine West (one of my birthday gifts from earlier in the year) with paisley-printed purple chiffon scarf tied in a bow for added flair & finally, matching silver & onyx bangle with charms & heart-shaped ring from Pandora.
The birthday girl was also resplendent in an orange & gold floral lace shift from Anthea Crawford with slightly-below-the-knee hemline; tan heeled sandals from Florsheim; orange vinyl handbag with gold hardware from Colette by Colette Hayman with a tan/gold ombre silk scarf tied around one strap for added flair (nothing like sharing my styling tips with family members!) & a gold cloisonne hinged bangle from the markets in Shanghai.
