North

Finally posting all the pictures from a recent trip to the picturesque towns of Montville & Maleny in the Sunshine Coast hinterland; the very first "big day out" where my dear friend & I were joined by a third party: her gorgeous little baby boy! It seems that he's a natural too, sleeping most of the way in the car, hardly crying at all, feeding like a champion in a myriad of cafe/restaurants & happily watching all the "goings on" in the many cute little boutiques from the comfort of his pram.

Scroll down if you'd like to see how the day unfolded...

Tuna Caesar Salad with Kipfler Potatoes on Brioche from Poet's Cafe is highly recommended! The ideal mix of creaminess from the homemade mayonnaise, tartness of the olives & sweetness of the heavy brioche bun.

Dining Companions

Posing on Chapel Lane in a gorgeous blue glitter floral twill fit-to-flare dress with princess seaming & midi-hemline from Anthea Crawford, traditional-style white denim jacket from Just Jeans (still the best quality denim I've found), blue & white speckled suede brogues from Florsheim (the cushioned flat soles ideal for walking around all day long...) & stripy navy & white vinyl handbag with gold hardware from Forever New for that little nautical touch.

The Montville Art Gallery features work from predominantly local artists & all Australian artists. It's wonderful to be able to meet people who are so passionate & creative... & to be able to take a little piece of that back home if the mood should grab you!

Sitting pretty on one of the many handmade stone garden edges running up & down the main road...

Note to Self: Close your mouth if you are standing near a mill wheel on a breezy day...

Couldn't resist a look in the German Cuckoo Clock Shop... it just wouldn't be a trip to Montville without it!

Beautiful scenery on the short drive to Maleny...

Finishing the trip with a refreshing strawberry malted milkshake from the Maleny Food Co, one of the stalwarts of the bohemian area's food scene for as long as we've been visiting... Love the way they are made on real, creamy milk with real strawberry ice-cream!
