Southbanked

Finally sharing pictures from a day spent exploring Southbank's Cultural Precinct & Parklands with dear friends, starting with a morning at the Queensland Museum's latest exhibit, Disney: The Magic of Animation, followed by lunch & dessert by the Brisbane River & ending with a spin around the Wheel of Brisbane for a bird's eye view of the latest bridge construction.

For the occasion, I donned a stunning navy & white spotted jersey wrap dress with sweet cap sleeves, midi-length hemline & long self-tie belt from celebrated Australian designer Sacha Drake, a white knitted longline cardigan without any buttons or fastenings from Metalicus, a pair of handmade tan leather ankle boots with stacked heels & silver zippers from the Renee Loves Frances boutique in Bulimba, a tan & white floral canvas shoulder bag with tan leather strap & vintage-inspired brass clasp from Embers & Twine boutique at the Top of Town precinct in Ipswich & a burgundy upcycled sari material tote bag from Leprosy Mission to carry all the essentials including a sunhat for later. When it came to jewellery, I chose bohemian pieces that were a nod to the polka dot print of the dress - a pair of brass & silver studded bangles from my local Tree of Life store & a navy & white spotted handpainted wooden bangle from Billabong to complete the look.

Lunch & Dessert in Grey Street...

Right at the top of the Wheel of Brisbane... attempting to conquer my fear of heights & moving while so high up in the air... It's a work in progress, obviously....
