I have absolutely adored being part of "Monochrome Monday" on Instagram - instigated by fellow fashionistas @corporatecatwalker & @teacher.style - for the last few months & the fun isn't over yet... I will endeavour to continue to "style up" eclectic & memorable outfits using only shades of black & white for as long as the challenge continues, but for now, here are the full range of pictures from my favourite week to date...

The stunning textured jacquard Anthea Crawford shift dress, in a bold, large-scale black & white rose print is made more relaxed by the addition of a boho-inspired, black patterned lace kimono with three-quarter sleeves & fringing on both the cuffs & asymmetrical hemline.

A pair of black suede peeptoe platforms from L&J Gallery (the store now sadly closed in the Myer Centre but still open at Sunnybank Plaza) add glamour, though their relatively low heel & tasseled "loafer style" front-strap detail keep things smart-casual rather than corporate, as does the addition of an oversized, envelope-shaped clutch with patches of white, lending the entire look an Art Deco edge.

Even Huckleberry seems to love it, as evidenced by the picture below:

Jewellery was kept minimal - a chunky, textured silver cuff with moulded flowers in a line through the centre & in triangle formations on either side all that was needed.

As usual, the Queensland weather refused to make up its mind & the day turned from high single figures to double figures in the mid 20s, forcing me to shirk my kimono & wear the dress all on its own. Scroll down to check it out...
