Well, wasn't this year "A Christmas to Remember!?" Incidentally, that just happens to be my all-time favourite song on the Kenny & Dolly Christmas album, Once Upon A Christmas, released in 1984 & still going strong in the festive repertoires of many with its sweet, down-home country feel... & the theme of an amazing Christmas party that I was lucky enough to be invited to a few weeks ago... For the occasion, I styled up this slightly-country-inspired outfit featuring this gorgeous black & soft gold embroidered mesh dress with burgundy satin slip from celebrated Australian designer Anthea Crawford, a pair of beige leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer, a vintage, natural woven reed handbag from a seller at New Farm Antique Centre to carry all the essentials, a funky black tulle bracelet that a dear friend gifted me from a little shop that she visited in Poland & finally, the AMAZING vintage burgundy velvet mariachi hat with stunning silver embroidery & black grosgrain ribbon tie (added by my mother at the very last minute as the original tie had unfortunately disintegrated over time) from Violette Valentines on Etsy, a truly lucky find that I'll treasure!
