The festive season vibes are strong in this gorgeous series of photographs, taken one morning recently before heading out to a styling job in the middle of the city. On this occasion, I'm being adorably photobombed by the incredibly naughty yet infinitely loveable ball of curly fluff that is Huckleberry, a spoilt little Spoodle (Cocker Spaniel & Toy Poodle mix) who pretty much has all of us wrapped around his little furry paw...

But I digress. For a morning helping a lovely bunch of women find the perfect ensembles for their various Christmas celebrations, I donned a stunning light mauve/grey embroidered & sequinned floral mesh midi dress with v-neckline, puff sleeves & charcoal satin lining from Australian designer Anthea Crawford for that touch of daytime sparkle with the classic & sophisticated edge, a pair of chunky black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer to elongate my frame while remaining comfortable (here's a little styling tip: lace-up heels/sandals/gladiator flats are the ABSOLUTE BEST in the summertime because as your feet swell with the heat, you can release the laces slightly & avoid any rubbing or blisters... hooray!) & a boxy, black suede & vinyl handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection to carry all of the essentials, which (of course) in the time of Covid 19, means hand sanitizer, plastic disposable gloves & a mask... just in case. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple in deference to the embellishment on the dress & wore a plain silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop on one wrist & an androgynous silver watch from Guess so that I could be all "professional stylist mode" & keep an eye on the time without having to constantly dig my phone out of my bag.
