For me, there's nothing better than spending time with my close-knit, immediate family... particularly if we are meeting up to enjoy a roast lamb dinner together at our family home. Avid readers of this blog will already know that I love the time-honoured tradition of "dressing for dinner," made popular again by television shows like "Downton Abbey" or "A Place to Call Home"... & that in this instance, I have given it a slightly-more-casual, infinitely more modern Queensland twist.

So without further ado... the ensemble....

A gorgeous Australian floral printed cotton midi-length dress with pleated waist detail & black cropped leather jacket from Portmans, comfortable yet stylish patent, matte leather & neoprene loafers with tapered toes from Wittner, woven cross-body bag with extreme fringing detail from Sportsgirl & a few statement-making accessories, namely a chunky yellow resin ring from Sea Wish Coolangatta & an oversized red silk corsage from Anthea Crawford pinned slightly off-centre on my jacket (more suited to the Spring Racing Carnival, some would say...) & "kicked up a notch" by a carved wooden moth brooch from the inimitable Dogstar.

Scroll down to see it in even more detail:
