Spent a wonderful Saturday morning enjoying the sights, sounds & sunshiny weather at a school fete with some dear friends and their little fellas, one of whom performed a couple of humorous Peter Combe songs with his classmates before lining up for the rides (dodgem cars a perennial favourite) & filling up on hot chips covered in chicken salt from one of the various food vans, washed down with a rainbow slushie (of course).

For such an occasion, casual & eclectic was the way to go... a dark floral cotton midi dress with folded waist band detail from Portmans, black cotton, three-quarter sleeved jacket with oversized broderie englaise cuffs with red lining & silky red tie neckline from Laika by Dogstar to ward off the early-Spring breeze, silver studded, pointy-toed leather brogues from Wittner (supremely comfortable) & teal-grey vinyl cross-body bag from Sportsgirl to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free. Jewellery was simple yet statement-making - a stack of beaded "eye" Middle Eastern bracelets in a variety of colours from Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant at Southbank Parklands.
