Sharing some pictures of a recent mother/daughter movie date to see the new black comedy "Game Night," starring Jason Bateman & Rachel Adams, followed by a delicious long lunch at our favourite local Thai restaurant, Peak Thai. I'm posing on one of the tall chairs at the cinema's internal candy bar (yes, really) wearing a gorgeous navy & beige floral guipure lace fit-to-flare dress with satin lining from "girly" Aussie brand Review, beige leather heeled sandals with silver studding from my go-to shoe brand, Wittner, beige vinyl handbag with silver hardware from Strandbags (the ideal place to go if you can't find anything to match your shoes elsewhere & don't want to spend a lot of money... little stylist tip!) to carry all my essentials - ahem, cheaper candy from the supermarket - & a trio of gold, bronze & silver studded bangles in varying sizes & configurations from boho haven Tree of Life.

So if you're struggling to find some inspiration for the upcoming rainy weekend in Queensland (I'll believe it when I see it, Weather Bureau!) go ahead & check it out the film about a group of friends whose weekly game night turns into a real-life murder mystery! I consider it to be a mixture of "Over My Dead Body" (1942) starring Milton Berle, 1963's "Charade" with Audrey Hepburn & Cary Grant, spoof "Clue" from 1985 & Edgar Wright's subversive masterpiece "Hot Fuzz" (2007)... with a little bit of Judd Apatow style humour thrown in for good measure. Worth the price of admission, for sure.

Vegetarian Spring Rolls followed by Chicken & Cashew Stir Fry with Rice in comfortable surroundings with attentive staff... the best way to end a great morning!
