While it's true that wintertime in Queensland is often painfully short-lived, it's still nice to indulge in sumptuous, cold-weather fabrics every now & then, like this cold-shoulder wiggle dress with boned bodice, below-the-knee hem & bow detailing in utterly divine burgundy Italian velour from Australian designer Anthea Crawford. I've styled it up to attend a function in the River City with a pair of edgy bright-gold metallic leather ankle boots with stiletto heels from Wittner, kitschy vegan leather "Antique Shop" handbag with three-dimensional embellishments from Vendula London, funky Modigliani "Reclining Nude" resin bangle that I found in the Musee de l'Orangerie gift shop when I visited Paris a few years ago & finally, a beautiful vintage woven wrap in a burgundy, gold, blue & silver paisley print with fur fringing that I picked up at the recent Collectorville Fair at the Rocklea Showgrounds to pull this otherwise eclectic look together.
